I wrote the lyrics of this song to thank the bands that have been stoked on SMW since day one. The last line of the song doesn’t make much sense, but it’s a shout-out to our friends Devon Kay & The Solutions, The Rememberwhens, and Walrus.

I Gave Kristen A New Moon

Upon writing this song, me and guitarist Jason Milbank wanted to express our fondness for the actress Kristen Stewart. I then went to Blockbuster and rented the tween extravaganza “Twilight” and wrote from the lead dude character’s perspective, this is the result:

holy fuck it’s been a long time since i’ve updated this thing. here it goes…

i’m still the busiest i’ve ever been in my life. this is the first time in a long time where i can just kinda hang out by myself and do nothing… and it feels so good, i can’t even explain it. 

the only “busy” i’m enjoying is my time with my new band, So Many Ways. we’ve been practicing a lot more lately and we’re sounding the tightest we’ve ever sounded. speaking of which, we’re recording next saturday and that should be fun. getting some guest vocalage from Mr. Solution himself, devon kay. should be a good time, hopefully our first “single”, titled “He Fired Children At Us!”. when we continue to record, i hope to be getting massive gang vocals from (aside from all of us): pat bley, mike koza, campy mccheeseburger, dan schein, kyle george king, and anyone else who wants to get brutal. i hope to also get guest vocals also from: devon kay (devon kay & the solutions), erin albertson (the atlantic sky), kate grube (ex-walrus), and aaron goldschmidt (walrus). i like guest vox, what can i say? haha

thats it for now, band practice soon. about to bring the sweet!

it's been a while.

holy shit i haven’t posted in a while but right now, i guess i just felt the need.

the ball is finally rolling with SMW lately and it feels great. we’ve been practicing a ton and almost ready to record our 5 song demo. we recently wrote a very Every Time I Die-like song and its fucking awesome. very short and to the point. each song is a little different and i’m in love with each of them. here are the working titles:

“He Fired Children At Us!”  (very Four Year Strong-style)

“Martin Landou” (our Daggermouth song)

“You’ve Just Been Bearylized” (our ETID-style song)

“Admiral Snackroid VS. Dan Snackroid” (just a good fucking song haha)

the fifth one should be awesome too.

i found our recently that i’m going to go home for my entire spring break and i can’t wait. my mom has been going through a rough time with my aunt being very sick and i know it’ll cheer her up to see me and i know i’ll be happy as hell to see her and my dad. i really miss my family and i have a feeling that it’ll be a very good week. alright i’m done, have a good one. peace!

new semester, new everything.

so the new semester has started and everything is new…

me and ashley are the best we’ve ever been and it feels great. 

i have now joined a band, a great band as a matter of fact, and i can’t wait to get this debauchery going with them. we’ve been practicing a lot and i hope we continue to because its only gonna make us tighter as a band. a couple of songs are coming together that are sounding good…to me atleast (haha). watch out for So Many Ways. we’re coming for you.

class…sucks. some of them are pretty interesting, but i’m going to have a large work load. but im up for it and looking forward to challenging myself. 

these next few months are gonna be nuts and i can’t fucking wait.
